Cult 2001 film Amélie is getting the musical treatment. The French film will be opening for previews in March at Walter Kerr Theatre, opening officially on April 3, according to Playbill.

Hamilton actress Phillipa Soo, who earned a Tony Award nomination for her debut role in the production, is taking the lead spot as Amélie, the waitress who decides to dedicate her life to making people's wishes come true.

Soo and Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda left the show on July 9, but they have since gone on to work together on Miranda's Moana soundtrack.

Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Nov. 28.
