At KCON 2016 earlier this year, Crush told Fuse that he was working closely with Zico and Dean, and that "you can expect that we will work on something together." We've finally got the first taste of what the Korean R&B stars have been cooking up in the studio with the new single "Bermuda Triangle."
While all three artists have been favoring the calmer, more tender concepts lately (see Zico's "I Am You, You Are Me" or Crush's "Fall"), the guys go hard on this braggadocious cut as they sing and rap about running the music game and making their competitors jealous. It's all done over minimal production featuring ominous, dark synths, keeping the focus more on their delivery and making sure the listeners don't miss their words.
The accompanying video sees the trio looking fiercer than ever together as they ride in fancy cars together and spit expletives in a church.
"Bermuda Triangle" proved to be one of the most anticipated collaborations of 2016 and hopefully this K-R&B supergroup has a few more collabs coming for us later too. Watch Crush talk about working with Zico and Dean, and list his ideal collaborators, in the interview below:
