Apple is paying homage to David Bowie with a few adorable emojis, which will come with the new iPhone/iPad update iOS 10.2. The two characters (a male and female singer) are based on Bowie's 1973 album Aladdin Sane. They portray one of the icon's classic eras with the colorful lightning bolt, vibrant hair and glam rock threads.

According to Emojipedia, the new Bowie emojis are part of a profession section that includes farmers, firefighters, painters, doctors, scientists, chefs and pilots.


David Bowie passed away on Jan. 10 at the age of 69. David Bowie Legacyhis posthumous singles collection, will be released on Nov. 11. It is a two-disc set that spans his decades-long career.
