The CW has been building its DC superhero roster since 2012, and later this month it'll all come to fruition with a four-night crossover. The worlds of Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow will collide (again, for some) starting Nov. 28 in a group effort to handle an assault by extraterrestrials called the Dominators. Deathstroke's in the mix for the arc, titled Heroes vs. Aliens, too.
“It really does feel like, in the middle of the season, a three-hour movie," producer Greg Berlanti told Entertainment Weekly in October. Check out a teaser below; Deathstroke's only-blink-if-you're-cool-with-missing-it appearance is at the 16-second mark:
The villain has a complex history (and several humans who took up the mantle, most recently Slade WIlson) on earlier seasons of Arrow. Actor Manu Bennett's name is the one most often affixed to the role; last year he said the character "had a lot of possibilities with Arrow, but I think they took it in the wrong direction."
Deathstroke is a big deal, though, announced a few months ago as the/a villain for Ben Affleck's The Batman movie. Joe Manganiello (True Blood, Magic Mike XXL) will play the part. It's interesting that he's returning to DC's TV universe, as the company recently purged Suicide Squad characters from Legends of Tomorrow (and Gotham, sorta), which premiered earlier this year, to coincide with the big screen adaptation.
Heroes vs. Aliens begins with Nov. 28's Supergirl. Next, visit New York Comic Con 2016 with Fuse:
