Justin Bieber is a pop star of many emotions: miserable, defeated, angry, silly, excited. But last night during his tour stop in Frankfurt, Germany, he seemed more hopeful than anything. While singing the title track off his Purpose album, Bieber couldn't help but to get lost in the heartfelt ballad and began to gently weep onstage.
Now, these weren't sad tears or feeling overwhelmed like he did at the 2015 VMAs. Instead, Bieber laughed through the cries and he genuinely smiled with his fans. The tender moment seems to be a good sign for the artist, whose annoyance with the Beliebers has been rapidly rising.
Last month, Bieber wrote (and deleted) an open letter explaining why he doesn't like when fans blindly scream at him rather than trying to make an honest connection. "All I was simply doing was wanting people to listen; to kind of hear me out a little bit," he reportedly wrote. "Certain cities aren't going to want to hear me out, and you know, sometimes it's my job to just say, 'Hey, I'm not going to try to force anything.'''
