If you can believe it, CBS' The Big Bang Theory is still on air! To bank it even more, the network is currently in talks with Warner Bros. TV to create a spinoff. According to Variety, the companies are developing a prequel series that will focus on a young Sheldon Cooper (played by Jim Parsons).

Parsons is reportedly executive producing the spinoff alongside Chuck Lorre and “Big Bang” showrunner Steve Molaro, and the series is nailing a script deal about the neurotic genius growing up in Texas. Variety also states the show's co-creator/exec producer Bill Prady will most likely join the project as an exec producer.

The Big Bang Theory (which premiered on Sept. 24, 2007) is now in its 10th season, and also stars Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco and Simon Helberg. The show's takeover could continue as CBS and Warner Bros. reportedly want to extend it for two or three more seasons.
