First 'Trainspotting 2' Trailer: Watch the Original Cast Return to Their Wild Child Ways

The gang is back—and they haven't aged a bit! After 20 years, the original cast of Trainspotting (Ewan McGregor, Ewen Bremner, Jonny Lee Miller and Robert Carlyle) are returning for the sequel. The official full-length trailer has arrived, and it's anchored by Renton's (played by McGregor) classic "Choose Life" monologue that will give you flashbacks from the 1996 film.

But it's given a modern twist, with Renton saying "Choose Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and hope that someone, somewhere cares." The trailer spins into madness with shots of revenge porn, endless drug use, drinking and—of course—lots of running by Renton, Spud, Sick Boy, Begbie and Diane. And they're still jamming to Underworld's 1995 club hit, "Born Slippy."

Robert Carlyle, who plays Begbie, told NME last year, “I tell you, this film is going to be quite emotional for people. Because the film sort of tells you to think about yourself. You are going to be thinking: ‘Fuck. What have I done with my life?’”

T2 arrives in the U.K. on Jan. 27, 2017, and in the U.S. on Feb. 3, 2017. In the meantime, flip through our roundup of the trippiest kids' movies of all time.
