For Fuse's 2016 Breakout Week, we're spending each day commemorating one undeniable act that shook things up in the mainstream this year. Today we're honoring Desiigner, the 19-year-old signee to Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music, a native of Jay Z and Biggie Smalls' stomping ground of Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. He hit No. 1 with "Panda," was a power player on Yeezy's The Life of Pablo and gave us so many unforgettable moments onstage, backstage, on the 'gram and out in the wide world.

But what we've loved as much as anything have been his encounters with the media. Here are nine of the craziest.

Let's start with the time he went to Central Park with GQ to play Pokémon GO:

Then hop to the time he rapped over the Addams Family theme song for Genius:

What about the time he got arrested (charges dropped this week) and walked out of his arraignment blurting his machine gun sounds, because "Panda" is always playing in his head:

Esteban Serrano's experience in Austin: Desiigner was a surprise guest on The Chainsmokers’ set at ACL. He was not on the bill and no one was expecting him to be there. I’m a fan, I get 15 minutes to interview him, so I’m HYPE! I’m thinking of all the questions I want to ask about the new G.O.O.D. Music Cruel Winter album and his album and working with this person and that experience and blah blah blah. Interview’s pretty quick, a lot of, “You know baby just giving the people what they want. GEET GEET GEET GEET!!” Desiigner leaves and five minutes later a shadowy figure comes ripping around the corner on a little motor scooter in the VIP area screaming "GEET GEET GEET GEET!!!!" It’s Desiigner being chased down by security as he somehow folds his 6’5" frame on a little crotchrocket. Good times! –ES

Once he rapped some of "Tiimmy Turner," shirtless in a suit coat, a cappella, for Kanye pal Anna Wintour. Hit the 4:32 mark:

He gave some well-considered World Series commentary:

He reinvented the red carpet interview at the VMAs:

My experience in New York City: After Kanye's Governors Ball set got canceled on June 6, he announced a surprise show at Webster Hall late that night. I got in a cab at 12:34 a.m. and jetted there to find hundreds, if not millions, of people already clustered. (Final media estimate was 4,000.) We waited till at least 2, being told from an early point that the show wasn't happening, that shit had gotten too crazy. Eventually some of us started to believe it and poured out of the stuffed block. I hung around on the Third Avenue side, in the middle of the street, like we all were, for a while. There was supposed to be a makeup show at a smaller venue downtown. I eventually started walking that way. I'd gotten about 20 feet from the Kanyetastrophe when a tall dude whipped by me on the left. "Yo, that's Desiigner!" someone said. It was. Barely anyone was around us. He was jogging slow, and I started jogging in tandem. I asked, "Where's the show, where are we going?!"

And then he ended this paparazzi chat with "I dunno what's goin' on, ayyyyy!" while rolling up his window:

Listen to Fuse's Back of the Class podcast talk about Desiigner's debut mixtape New English at the 1:40 mark in the episode below:
