'Guardians of the Galaxy' Faves Groot & Rocket Raccoon May Get Their Own Movie

Guardians of the Galaxy is already a beloved series in the Marvel franchise, but can you imagine a spinoff with two fan favorite characters? Well, according to Vin Diesel, a movie about Rocket Raccoon and Groot could happen.

During an interview with Screen Junkies (above) about xXx: Return of Xander Cage (out Jan. 20), the actor said, "I think if it's up to James Gunn, you're going to see a Groot/Rocket movie after Infinity Wars. It's highly possible. We shall see." He continued, "I know that there's somewhere in the universe you're gonna see Groot and Hulk battle." Rocket is voiced by Bradley Cooper, while Diesel plays Groot.

The revelation comes after Gunn (who is Guardians of the Galaxy's writer and director) told a fan he's all in for a solo Nebula movie starring Karen Gillan. "I have a few favorites myself, but I agree that Nebula should lead her own film - it's something I've thought about from the beginning," he tweeted.

But before we all head ahead of ourselves, we still have to wait for the premiere of Guardians of the Galaxy 2. That hits theaters on May 5, 2017. Below, watch the Fuse crew journey through this year's New York Comic Con:
