The financial wizards at Forbes have revealed that Johnny Depp is Hollywood's most overpaid actor—for the second consecutive year! "His last three movies returned just $2.80 at the box office for every $1 he was paid on them," the magazine writes. That's almost twice as bad as the No. 2 most overpaid actor, Will Smith.

Forbes adds that a messy divorce from Amber Heard, which pivoted on abuse allegations against Depp, "did not impact his earnings during our scoring period, [but] they look set to damage his box office prospects for months to come." Exhibit A: how upset much of the internet was at learning Depp was cast in an important role for the Harry Potter spinoff Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Recent Depp flops have included 2015's Mortdecai ($7.7 million domestically, $47.3 million worldwide) and '14's Transcendence ($23 in the U.S., $103 around the globe).

Below is the info on the top 5 most overpaid actors; hit Forbes for the full top 10. Julia Roberts is the only actress, at No. 9.

–Johnny Depp, returns $2.80 for each $1 paid
–Will Smith, returns $5 for each $1 paid
–Channing Tatum, returns $6 for each $1 paid
–Will Ferrell, returns $6.50 for each $1 paid
–George Clooney, returns $6.70 for each $1 paid
