Kanye West has been released from UCLA Medical Center after he was admitted on Nov. 21, CNN reports. The artist was being treated for exhaustion and sleep deprivation and his personal physician, Dr. Michael Farzam, told 911 dispatchers he "suffers from temporary psychosis due to sleep deprivation and dehydration."
West's hospital admittance followed the cancellation of the remaining Saint Pablo Tour. It was preceded by a series of rants during various concerts where the rapper called out Beyoncé, Jay Z and Drake and stated that he would've voted for Donald Trump. Yesterday, reports arose that he was trying to record new music while hospitalized.
During Ye's treatment, music peers like Janelle Monáe, Elle Varner and Theophilus London showed their support on social media. Chance the Rapper also extended a prayer to his mentor during an appearance on BBC Radio 1Xtra, saying “I think everybody goes through it. And I think right now, probably what he needs more than anything is his real, close friends and family around."
