The director/actor/supreme surrealist will officially reprise his role as FBI chief Gordon Cole in the upcoming Twin Peaks revival, which released a teaser of Lynch simply eating a damn donut for 20 seconds while the show's iconic theme song plays. It doesn't show much else, but the donut sure does look delicious.
The Twin Peaks revival details are still not revealed, but we do know that Sheryl Lee, Kyle MacLachlan and Catherine Coulson are returning to the show. The massive 217-member cast also includes David Duchovny, Amanda Seyfried, Michael Cera, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Jay R. Ferguson, Laura Dern, Naomi Watts, Laura Dern, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Michael Cera, Amanda Seyfried, Harry Dean Stanton, Trent Reznor, his wife Mariqueen, Eddie Vedder, Sky Ferreira and Sharon Van Etten.
Back in October, Ferreira performed "Falling"—the classic Twin Peaks theme song—alongside original singer Julee Cruise at David Lynch’s Festival of Disruption. The reboot of the cult ABC series (which debuted in 1990) will arrive in spring 2017 on Showtime. For more nostalgia goodies, listen to the latest episode of Fuse's Besterday podcast below:
