Childish Gambino & Chance the Rapper's Joint Album Might Actually Be on the Way

Chance the Rapper and Childish Gambino both shot to new levels of fame in 2016, but the longtime buds were nearly silent about each others' celebrated art. Now they're together again on Chance's Instagram, which gives us the strong feeling their long-teased joint mixtape is back under way.

Why's that? Donald Glover—33 to Chance's 23—loves recording in Hawaii, is frequently based in L.A., and has a long history with the mysterious phrase "Roscoe's Wetsuit," which appears a half-dozen times in 2013's Because the Internet–accompanying screenplay.

2016 gave us Chance's Coloring Book and Childish Gambino's "Awaken, My Love!" album (plus the Atlanta TV series). Neither record featured the other, although their previous solo releases each boasted duets—Acid Rap's "Favorite Song" and Internet's "The Worst Guys," on which Chano did not rap.

Here's hoping 2017 is 100 percent more Bino-and-Chance–y. #roscoeswetsuit
