Hamilton is ready to take over the Super Bowl!
Renee Elise Goldsberry, Jasmine Cephas Jones and Phillipa Soo—who originally played the Schuyler Sisters in the Broadway musical—will be performing "America the Beautiful." The three original cast members have since left the production so if you couldn't get those impossible Hamilton tickets then, this is your chance to get a glimpse of their talent.
The news comes after the announcement that country star Luke Bryan will be singing the national anthem. As we all know, Lady Gaga is planning a major stage show for her first halftime performance. The pop star recently teased the choreography, which features her classic "Bad Romance" dance moves.
There were reports that Gaga was banned from mentioning Trump during her performance that may not even be politically driven. But the NFL have since shut down those rumors. “This is unsourced nonsense from people trying to stir up controversy where there is none,” Natalie Ravit, NFL's Senior Vice President of Communications, told CNN. “The Super Bowl is a time when people really come together. Lady Gaga is focused on putting together an amazing show for fans and we love working with her on it; we aren’t going to be distracted by this.”
Look out for the Super Bowl LI on Feb. 5 at 6:30 p.m. ET on FOX. Ahead of the event, watch our spotlight on Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda below:
