It looks like a new X-Men movie may have been inadvertently/covertly/sneakily announced. While the film X-Men: The New Mutants has been a known quantity for a while, now there's evidence of an X-Men: Supernova.

Production Weekly, which "provides professionals working in the film and television industries with the most comprehensive production breakdown available," recently published the title. Tracking site My Entertainment World also listed X-Men: Supernova on Wednesday, saying it'll film in Montréal in mid-May. The window overlaps with The New Mutants.

Comic Book Resources adds that numerous plot teases in 2016's X-Men: Apocalypse "hint towards the X-Men going to outer space for a retelling of 'The Dark Phoenix Saga.'" Meaning that Supernova "could easily be a cosmic codename."
