Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage is in early talks for a role in Marvel’s upcoming Avengers: Infinity War movie and its yet untitled sequel, Variety reports. The studio has yet to comment, but is allegedly planning to shoot both films back-to-back beginning this summer.
Since GoT's production was pushed from the summer to the fall, it gave Dinklage the perfect time to hop on board with the Marvel projects. But details on the role that he'll be playing haven't been revealed. Robert Downey Jr. (who plays Iron Man) and Chris Evans (Captain America) are confirmed to return to the franchise.
The plot will follow the Avengers as they join forces with other teams from the Marvel Cinematic Universe to defeat the villain Thanos (voiced by Josh Brolin), and take control of the Infinity Stones. As for Dinklage and GoT? Its seventh season will air this summer and only features seven episodes.
