Grimes has released her artful and self-directed video for "Venus Fly," her synthpop collaboration with Janelle Monáe from 2015's Art Angels. The vibrant clip shows the two ladies donning some badass futuristic warrior costumes as they take over space. It's currently a Tidal exclusive, so enjoy it if you're subscribed. In yesterday's Instagram teaser (which is different from the Tidal one), Grimes explained why the "Venus Fly" video was important for her to make:
"Sometimes it feels futile to be making art in this cruel and extreme political climate, but some of the brightest moments of the last few months for me and for a lot of you, i suspect, have come from seeing @janellemonae 's amazing and positive vision of the future, especially when we are being introduced to so many possible dystopian futures."
