We knew the Soompi Awards were big, but we don't think anyone anticipated the incredible response to the longest-running K-pop site's 12th Annual Soompi Awards.
For the 2016 iteration of their annual awards, Soompi reports that nearly 100 million votes were cast to honor the best and biggest names in K-entertainment. There were 139 countries involved while the hashtag #SoompiAwards was tweeted 14.2 million times and resulted in four worldwide trending topics.
