One of Sarah Paulson's most iconic American Horror Story characters may be returning for Season 7! During PaleyFest LA's TV panel on Sunday, the actress was asked which role she'd like to reprise from the FX series. “Probably Cordelia. We only got to see her just getting her powers,” Paulson coyly said of her Coven character. “I just would like to know if the power might have been something that kind of changed her. Maybe we’ll get to see that.”

Cordelia Foxx was the ultimate Supreme and headmistress at Miss Robichaux’s Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies in AHS Season 3. Her mother Fiona Goode (memorably played by Jessica Lange) was thought to be the Supreme witch, but viewers learned it was Cordelia all along. If true, this would be the second time Paulson will reprise a role. In Season 6's Roanoke finale, her Asylum character Lana Winters made a surprise return.

Paulson will also be starring in the series' upcoming Season 7, which will be election-themed. If her Coven role doesn't appear this time around, it could pop up later on in the show. It's not confirmed when, but a Murder House/Coven crossover season may happen with Lady Gaga's The Witch character making a return. "It’s not going to be next season, but we are going to do a season that’s a crossover between Murder House and Coven together, which is very bizarre,” Ryan Murphy told Entertainment Weekly last October.

While Murphy wasn't in attendance at PaleyFest, co-creator Brad Falchuk stated that “Sarah’s parts have not been written intentionally about the media” before explaining he likes writing roles for Paulson that you wouldn’t like unless they were being played by her. She told The Associated Press a Trump-themed season doesn’t currently fit with the show, but “anything is possible if it’s what the audience craves.” So will we see the actress as Kellyanne Conway? We'll have to wait to find out.

Denis O’Hare, Kathy Bates, Cuba Gooding, Jr., Cheyenne Jackson and Adina Porter were also on the panel. But it wasn't confirmed if they will be returning to AHS with Paulson and show regular Evan Peters. Deadline does point out that actors who show up at Paley Fest usually have secured parts in upcoming seasons.
