Happy Friday! Please push play on The Lion King's "Circle of Life" intro, below, and absorb this majestic news. Beyoncé is wanted for the primo role of Nala in the new live-action Lion King remake from Jon Favreau (The Jungle Book, Elf), says reputable and well-connected OG Hollywood trade Variety

Bey, pregnant with twins, mothering a 5-year-old and being the queen of all creation, hasn't committed yet. "But since it’s a voice-acting role," Variety writes, "sources say the studio and director will do whatever it takes to accommodate her schedule."

You realize this would mean Beyoncé singing classic 1994 Lion King songs, right? Because they are bringing those back. So: AHHH! Maybe she'll even do a visit to the Broadway show; 2017 is its 20th year running.

Aside from Lemonade, Mrs. Carter's last film was the Fox family film Epic, where she voiced *Queen* Tara. For her starring role in 2006's Dreamgirls, she scored a Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy nomination at the Golden Globes.

In February we learned that Donald Glover is continuing his showbiz takeover by voicing Simba:

Glover is also starring in Disney/Lucasfilm's Han Solo Star Wars standalone, plus Disney/Marvel's Spider-Man: Homecoming. In The Lion King, he'll be raised by James Earl Jones, returning as Mufasa.

The Lion King is under rapid development and will feature a script by Jeff Nathanson (the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, The Terminal, Rush Hour 2 and 3).
