Another week, another batch of delightful Netflix news. This time it's the potential re-return of Gilmore Girls, which will surprise no one who finished last fall's A Year in the Life.
“We hope," Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos told the U.K.'s Press Association of the possibility of bringing Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino's beloved series back. He specified that the talks are still "very preliminary."
The meat of Sarandos' thoughts went like this:
"We obviously loved the success of the show, fans loved how well it was done, it delivered what they hoped. The worst thing is to wait a couple of years for your favorite show to come back and for it to disappoint you, but they sure delivered and people were really excited about more, and we have been talking to them about the possibility of that.”
Nov. 25, 2016 saw the release of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, a four-part miniseries of 90-minute, season-themed episodes. The series had wrapped its initial six-season run just shy of a decade earlier.
