Rihanna's two-episode Bates Motel stint as the iconic shower-stabbing victim Marion Crane came to a close on Monday night—and the Psycho prequel series totally rewrote Hitchcock history.

Watch below to see how the scene from the 1960 film was rejiggered for Robyn Rihanna Fenty in 2017. But stop now if you don't want ANY spoilers, and stop after the video if you don't want all the spoilers.

So after ditching her shower with a Bad Girl RiRi–ish "screw this shit," Marion hits the road and her cheating bae gets the famous Norman Bates acupuncture treatment in her stead. The intrepid YouTubers at Before the Credits have already cut the two scenes side by side:

"We did not want to just do what the movie did," said executive producer Carlton Cuse. "And we didn’t feel like Marion would come across as a particularly empowered character if she was murdered in the shower. We wanted her to be a fundamentally stronger, more decisive character."

Last week Rihanna went live on Instagram to stream her reaction to debut on the A&E series, booze included. Next year she'll appear in the female-centric Ocean's Eight alongside Cate Blanchett, Sandra Bullock, Mindy Kaling, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter and more.
