Tinashe Drops Emotional, R&B-Pop Groover 'Flame'

While it's been a long wait for Tinashe's Joyride album, it's already been an exciting journey of seeing multiple musical sides of the multifaceted singer-songwriter. "Player" showed off her electro-pop sensibilities, "Superlove" gave us '90s R&B vibes, and now we get to hear her emotional, balladeer side with new single "Flame."

Take a listen to the smoking cut above that opens with a subtle, R&B-pop groove as Tinashe tenderly attempts to confirm there's still a spark between her and a lover: "And I say 'Baby, you can put it on me' / 'Cause I know I don't make it easy / My body hurts with every heart beat / Just say I'm not the only one." Before we know it, the song bursts into its emotional chorus where T belts, "C'mon, tell me that you still got the flame for me!" showing off some of her strongest vocals to date.
