It's the moment you've all been waiting for, One Direction fans! Harry Styles has finally dropped his solo debut single "Sign of the Times," and it was definitely worth the wait. Instead of going the expected pop route, the former boy band member explores his love for slow, sweeping rock.
Listen above as Styles attempts to channel his inner David Bowie on the wallowing ballad. "Just stop your crying / It will be alright / They told me that the end is near / We gotta get away from here," the singer croons on the chorus. "Sign of the Times" is the first taste of his new music since 1D announced their indefinite hiatus following the 2015 release of Made in the A.M.
All of the former band members have been doing their own thing since the hiatus and Zayn Malik's departure. Styles signed with Columbia last June and has a role in Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk. Liam Payne joined Republic Records and welcomed his first child with girlfriend Cheryl Cole. Niall Horan is with Capitol Records and is prepping his solo album. Louis Tomlinson recently dropped the "Just Hold On" video with buddy Steve Aoki. And Zayn teamed up with PartyNextDoor for his latest single, "Still Got Time," a few weeks ago.
While we wait for more details on Styles' upcoming album, throw it back to a classic, Fuse red-carpet interview with the full, five-member One Direction below:
