Two of K-pop's most exciting acts are set to get East Coasters screaming this summer. KCON kicked off their artist lineup announcement and the world's No. 1 Korean-culture festival sees CNBLUE and Twice joining for its New York date.
Alongside a slate of still-to-be-revealed acts coming to both the NY and Los Angeles dates, the rock-pop outfit and the adorable girl group will meet attendees and take the stage at the massive Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. Just like last year, KCON New York will boast two days of panels, workshops, food trucks, artist meet-and-greets and convention fun along with two days of concerts. In addition to everything a K-pop fan could want, KCON has promised expanded offerings in the K-beauty, K-food, and e-sports scenes. Don't miss KCON's newly designed logo above.
CNBLUE has long been K-pop's top rock-pop act with the band releasing nine studio albums, ten extended plays, and 13 singles in Korea and Japan. Last month, the outfit dropped their most experimental release to date with their new EP titled 7 Degrees CN that was led by the electronically fused single "Between Us."
Meanwhile, Twice is undoubtedly one of K-pop's top girl groups with the ninesome scoring multiple No. 1s in Korea and racking up an almost unbelievable amount of YouTube views with three singles boasting more than 100 million views and their latest, "Knock Knock" below, has nearly 75 million in a month-and-a-half.
KCON returns to the New York area on June 23 and 24. A month later, the fest will hit Los Angeles for three days of fun during August 18-20 at the city's famous Staples Center. Stay tuned for more artist annoucements and reveals.
