Thanks to a few courteous tweets, we now know Miley Cyrus voices a character in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Folks at an official event in L.A. announced the following:
According to Screen Rant, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige asked James Gunn at the press conference, "Have you told anyone who Mainframe is?" Gunn, who wrote and directed Vols. 1 and 2 and will be back for the threequel, answered, "I haven’t told anyone, yeah. Should we? Oh I think I actually did. I blew it. I told one person."
A Den of Geek article about every Guardian of the Galaxy ever says Mainframe is "actually the Vision, the beloved Avengers synthoid who [has] ... evolved to make up the operating system of an entire planet." The character was also the protector of Captain America's vibranium shield at one point.
In 2016, the erstwhile Hannah Montana starred in Woody Allen's first-ever TV series, Amazon's Crisis in Six Scenes. Before that she hadn't acted as a non–Miley Cyrus character since 2012's So Undercover.
After Guardians, pop singer Zendaya will appear Spider-Man: Homecoming alongside hip-hop savant/TV auteur Donald "Childish Gambino" Glover. Another notable actress/musician in the MCU is Scarlett Johansson, who has played Black Widow four times.
