Did you really think this week was going to end without yet another reboot announcement? According to Deadline, a Roseanne revival is in the works and original cast members Roseanne Barr, John Goodman and Sara Gilbert are already confirmed to reprise their roles.
The comeback will be a limited eight-episode series and different broadcast networks and streaming services are placing their bids on picking it up. Tom Werner and Bruce Helford plan to return as executive producers, with Barr and Gilbert also executive producing. Roseanne, which aired on ABC from 1988 to 1997, depicted the Conners as the classic working-class family.
The sitcom also starred Laurie Metcalf (who is also in talks to return for the reboot) as Jackie Harris, Michael Fishman as D.J. Conner. It went on to win four Emmys and three Golden Globes. Back in March, Goodman and Gilbert held their own funny mini reunion that marked the first time they were on screen together in 20 years:
