Lemonade dropped a little over a year ago, and now Beyoncé's dropping a deluxe box set called How to Make Lemonade. It'll include a two-LP, lemony-yellow vinyl edition and downloads of the audio and visual albums. Check out the teaser, delivered to Bey's 101 million Instagram followers, above. The product is expected to ship this summer.
The crown jewel that explains How to Make Lemonade's $299.99 pricetag is a 600-page book—six hundred!—filled with "unprecedented insight into the making of [Lemonade]," as well as "hundreds of never-before-seen photos" and "Beyoncé’s personal writing and lyrics are interwoven throughout." Also expect explorations of "the inspiration and themes behind some of the film’s most provocative and cryptic moments"
The How to Make Lemonade book boasts poetry by Warshan Shire, the award-winning Somali-British poet whose work was read in Lemonade film, and a foreword by Michael Eric Dyson. The Georgetown University sociology professor/author has published and edited nearly 20 books on race and hip-hop, including, more specifically, Tupac, Nas, Malcolm X, Hurricane Katrina, Bill Cosby, Martin Luther King Jr., President Barack Obama and one titled Why I Love Black Women. His latest was January's Tears We Cannot Stop: A Sermon to White America.
