Marilyn Manson is trying his hand at acting once again in new movie Let Me Make You a Martyr. The musician stars as Pope, a hit man hired to track down two adoptive siblings who are trying to kill their crime boss father named Larry Glass (played by Mark Boone Junior).
"You ever kill a man with your bare hands?" Manson terrifyingly utters within the first few seconds of the trailer. While there is no actual display of a murder, his voice alone is enough to send chills down your spine. The crime drama marks a reunion for Manson and Boone, who both starred in FX's Sons of Anarchy. It is the directorial debut for Corey Asraf and John Swab, who also serve as executive producers and writers.
Let Me Make You a Martyr also stars Niko Nicotera, Michael Potts, Sam Quartin, Slaine and Danny Boy. The movie will premiere June 6 across various VOD platforms, but will receive select screenings on May 25 in Tulsa, Okla; May 27 in Austin, Texas; June 5 in Los Angeles and June 9 in Brooklyn.
"Mark brought me into the project," We were friends from Sons of Anarchy. He's sort of my unwanted mentor. He tells me what to do, Manson told Rolling Stone. "He's always encouraged me, but he's very bossy about it. He says things like, 'You gotta do this, motherfucker. You'll like this.'" He recently revealed the new name of his forthcoming 10th album, Heaven Upside Down.
