New Marvel Drama 'The Gifted' Is Basically a TV Version of 'X-Men': Watch the Trailer

UPDATE (5/15): The trailer for Fox's The Gifted is officially here! Watch all the action above.

Original Story (5/9): The newest TV series to join Fox is The Gifted, a Marvel action-adventure series that has just been greenlit by the network.

The show follows the journey of suburban couple Reed and Caitlin Strucker (Stephen Moyer and Amy Acker), who soon learn their children possess mutant powers. After being shunned by the government, the family teams with underground network of mutants where they have to fight to survive. So think X-Men...but it's not really X-Men.

The Gifted also stars Natalie Alyn Lind and Percy Hynes as the couple's children, Sean Teale plays (Eclipse/Marcos Diaz), Jamie Chung (Blink/Clarice Fong), Emma Dumont (Polaris/Lorna Dane), Blair Redford (Thunderbird/John Proudstar) and Coby Bell (Jace Turner). Their cause from straying away from X-Men comparisons doesn't help when Bryan Singer—who directed a handful of X-Men films—directed the pilot and is also the executive producer.

Look out for the premiere of The Gifted this fall, along with the full trailer set to drop on May 15. Keep the Marvel vibes going with an interview with Marvel Comics editor-in-chief Axel Alonso, where he preview the ways the publishing empire is syncing up with its movie and television offerings:
