Tyler, the Creator teams up with Cartoon Network's Adult Swim once again for his new animated show, The Jellies! The rapper co-created it with fellow Odd Future member Lionel Boyce (a.k.a. L-Boy), and they also lend their voices to the series. Check out the trailer above.
The Jellies! follows 16-year-old human Cornell Jelly and his adoptive jellyfish family as he tries to find himself. Tyler will also score the music for the show. The other voice actors include Phil LaMarr, Blake Anderson, AJ Johnson and Kevin Michael Richardson. This marks the second collaboration he has done with Adult Swim, following the hilarious sketch-comedy Loiter Squad that ran from 2012-2014.
The animated show is set to premiere this summer (there's no set release date)...along with another show Tyler has worked on with Viceland. It's called Nuts and Bolts and is—according to Wall Street Journal reporter Lara O'Reilly—about the rapper "finding out how things are made." Look out for that show's premiere on August 3. When he's not busy creating his own series, Tyler is lending his voice to the theme song for Bill Nye’s Bill Nye Saves the World.
