George Floyd Protests: Here's a List of Bail Funds You Can Donate To
Over the last week, the demonstrations by the Minneapolis community in light of the murder of George Floyd by police has sparked mass protests across the country and world. Protesters have taken to the streets demanding justice for Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade, Michael Brown Jr., Eric Garner, Tamir Rice, Philando Castile, Aiyana Jones, and for other Black lives lost at the hands of police.
If you are able to, please consider donating to any of these bail funds (or find your local one!) in support of protesters putting their health at risk in the middle of a pandemic to demand justice and accountability. 🖤 If you’re unable to donate, consider supporting in other ways like calling your local lawmakers and making sure your reps commit to ending of police brutality, or engaging with family and friends who don’t understand what the protests are about. And of course, VOTE.
