Fuse is invading SXSW Music Fest with our home base as the Fuse Box at Stubb's from Wednesday, March 12—Saturday, March 15. If you’re in Austin, stop by. It’s free and open to anyone over 21.
In case you aren't an Austin native—like The Sword bassist/metal madmen Bryan Richie—Stubb's is the city's quintessential music venue-BBQ restaurant hybrid…what's better than good music and good food?
Fuse News' Georgie Okell and Liz Walaszyck, plus Top 20 Countdown host Esteban Serrano, will be on site, interviewing artists and filming for the channel. Who knows what'll happen: You'll be on TV? You'll meet your favorite SXSW band?
Then on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Fuse's own Big Freedia will get the crowd bouncing after midnight with special performances. Her camera crew will be filming all the action for Season 2 of Big Freedia: Queen of Bounce, which premieres in June on Fuse.
If you’re not in Austin—no worries!—we'll make you feel like you are. Tune into Fuse Wednesday through Friday at 7p/6c when Fuse News and Trending 10 will team up to create FUSE@SXSW, a daily, hour-long special that will highlight the biggest music moments from the festival with special attention paid to the top trending music stories on Twitter.
