Warped Tour happens to overlap with the World Cup, so before their set, the guys got together to drink some beers and watch the U.S.A. vs. Portugal game.
Even when they're relaxing, Mayday are thinking of you! The boys had a huge stack of signed portraits on their kitchen table, prepping for a signing later in the day. Awwww!
This is a sad one, but hear us out! Mayday's tour manager's adorable pup passed away, so this pooch portrait serves as an ode to the fluffball.
Like all boys, Mayday Parade love video games. Their game of choice is Minecraft (there was Minecraft paraphernalia as far as the eye could see.) So basically, these guys are total dorks. Reassuring, isn't it?
More Minecraft. See? We weren't lying!
...And a device with which to play Minecraft. Boys will be boys!
Mayday Parade's bud Steven is a character... and for some reason thought it would be funny to claim ownership over the group's whiskey, by making it his own. Sir Steven Beam, bourbon mastermind.
It's not all fun and games for these gents. They know that touring is exhausting, and they have to take care of their bodies. When's the last time you heard of a punk band stocking up on coconut oil? These guys clearly know what they're doing.
Well... ok... maybe they're taking the health thing a little too far. I guess there's a lot of downtime at Warped, might as well put a little meat on your bones? I wonder what else is "explosive."
Sleep is so important on Warped—you're outside in the sweltering heat almost exclusively and you're playing brash, short sets. The only way to get over that is to sleep! Look at this pod (we were surprised by how clean the bunk was). Cigarettes, a clean pillow and sunglasses. What more could you ask for?
The story here is... well... the guys don't remember! "I don't know, it just showed up one day," frontman Derek Sanders told us. They keep it around... for good luck?
Here's Derek totally engrossed in the World Cup. A welcome respite from the intense California heat!
This should be presented without comment. Chill out, man! What a lifestyle mantra!
Many of the buses on Warped Tour are owned by the same company, one that makes it a point to name each automobile after a character in 'Fast Times at Ridgemont High.' Mayday are watched by Mr. Hand. Maybe his spirit keeps these rowdy guys in line!
Half of what's cool about Mayday's bus is what's behind it. The boys are super into mini bikes—it helps them get to and from interviews and stages because Warped is MASSIVE!
Looks like fun, right? After a few years of Warped Tour, the guys know how to do it and how to do it right.
