The Oscars are just around the corner, and we can’t wait for the film industry’s biggest night of the year. And while we can’t say we have any clue what to expect since there will be no host, it could end up being a historic night—particularly for music.
This year, Lady Gaga became the first person to be nominated for Best Actress and Best Song, marking a big crossover in her career quite literally. But Gaga isn’t the only music artist to receive recognition for her work in film. We’re taking a look back at artists who have won Oscars, whether for songs they have contributed to films or for their own acting efforts.
