Metric Lead A Tour of Radio City Music Hall

Before their first-ever gig at New York's Radio City Music Hall for Fuse Music Week, presented by Diet Coke, singer Emily Haines and guitarist Jimmy Shaw of Canadian indie-pop outfit Metric gave us a tour of the legendary venue.

"The whole place is astounding," said Shaw, who was particularly fond of the venue's carpet, designed with various instruments. Haines then gave Shaw an inside look at the plush ladie's room: "Nice color scheme," noted Haines, smiling. "It ain't CBGBs," cracked Shaw. "Ah, if these walls could talk."

The tour culminated at the venue's various suites, where the two flipped through the sign-in book, which features the signatures of every artist to ever perform at the historic venue. "The nostalgia is incredible. I'll write, 'Long Live Radio City,'" beamed Haines. "I feel like crying already." Replied Shaw, "Well, that's what this building will do."
