Calvin Harris on New Album '18 Months' and How Rihanna Helped His Career

The reason you probably know Calvin Harris' name is because of Rihanna and the Scottish EDM producer isn't afraid to admit that. After "We Found Love" hit in 2011, things blew up for Harris. And thanks to RiRi, musicians are knocking down his door to work with him. "When I first started, it was difficult to get people on a track. And then as soon as ['We Found Love'] came out everything was blown wide open. I think everyone that I wanted to work with said yes." That includes Florence Welch, who lent her booming vocals to his latest insanely addictive track "Sweet Nothing."

The It DJ also opened up about who he'd like to work with in the future—Emeli Sande, he's coming for you—and the future of EDM: "I just think it's good that people are paying more attention to dance music."

Calvin Harris' album 18 Months (which got it's name because "it was roughly 18 months since the first song on the album came out") dropped October 26.
