Heard of Jessie Ware? Well, get used to the British songbird's name—you'll be hearing a lot of it in 2013.
The singer broke out this summer with "Wildest Moments," her Adele-meets-Sade neo-soul jam that burned up online, and now she's preparing to release her debut album Devotion stateside. And she's doing it with a little help from one of her biggest fans: Katy Perry.
The two singers met at the Weeknd's first gig in London this past summer. "She was like, 'Oh my god, I work out to your music. I love your music!' And I was like, 'I'm glad somebody's getting fit from it!'"
Ware adds, "She smelled of vanilla. She smelled delicious. She was just lovely."
Later Perry gushed about Ware online: "I think this lil lady is going to be massive," Perry wrote, "so if you haven't discovered her yet jump on board: Jessie Ware." Careers are made on lesser endorsements.
Watch the video above for the full interview—she dishes on mega fan Russell Crowe (..."it was like The Gladiator chatting with me!") and her dream collabo with Kanye West and Frank Ocean ("call me!").
