This Is Cool: A$AP Ferg Hits the Studio With Bone Thugs-N-Harmony
This can only end awesomely: A$AP Ferg recently hit the studio with Cleveland hip hop legends Bone Thugs-N-Harmony to collaborate on some tracks for his upcoming Trap Lord mixtape.
Following A$AP Rocky's killer 2012, Ferg is the latest member of A$AP Mob to start turning heads thanks to "Work," a killer track he told us appeals equally to "hood dudes" and "dirty hipsters" during an episode of The Mixdown.
Now we've learned Bone Thugs-N-Harmony are on board with Trap Lord, and someone had the incredible idea to film this encounter in a fashion befitting the group's '90s glory days: On a fuzzy VHS camcorder.
Bizzy Bone's freestyle aside, the best part is a touching moment where the rap newcomer opens up to Bone Thugs-N-Harmony about their influence on him. "It's not even about passing the torch because you guys are still working," Ferg said. "And when y'all give us the chance to work with you, it's like, 'Damn, I'm working with my idols. I grew up listening to y'all.'"
