Ghost B.C. Cover Depeche Mode's Classic "Waiting for the Night"
Ghost B.C.—previously known as Ghost until murky legal reasons forced the Swedish metal act to change their moniker—recently tackled Depeche Mode's "Waiting for the Night" with eerie, awesome results. The moody, sonically expansive Violator song lends itself well to a hard rock reworking, especially one that emphasizes the pervading sinister vibe. Although it's not as loony as their cover of ABBA's "I'm a Marionette," there is an overtly theatrical quality to this cover that makes it distinctly their own.
Listen above and check out our interview with the masked metal madmen where they admit to listening to Euro-pop and rap on their off hours.
