Los Angeles-based singer Jhené Aiko already told us that her highly anticipated debut LP Souled Out album is "98% finished" and her daughter is a special guest, but she dished even more deets about the recording process for her long-awaited debut when she stopped by Fuse HQ.
"I recorded over 20 songs and we ended up having two projects," the 25-year-old explains of her plan to release her Sail Out EP before the full-length Souled Out. "You can tell the difference of sound. Instead of trying to mesh it all together, I thought 'Let me put these groups of songs out first,' that way everyone can grow with me."
"Souled Out has no features," the lyricist adds. "It's early enough now that if someone wanted to get on one of the songs, we could make space for them, but, honestly, it's already a complete album."
