When Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards go to commercial, you'll still be hearing the biggest pop songs. Three days after Pepsi announced that it would be premiering a new Katy Perry song for her upcoming album Prism, Kia revealed that Lady Gaga's "Applause" will soundtrack fat dancing hamsters getting in shape for a big event.
The ad, available above, will make its broadcast premiere immediately following Gaga's kickoff performance at the VMAs.
As Billboard notes, last year’s VMAs featured Alicia Keys appearing in ads for Reebok and Citi for her song “Girl On Fire,” while Justin Timberlake's "Suit and Tie" appeared in ads for Bud Light Platinum and Target after he performed the track at the Grammys.
Gaga recently premiered the video for "Applause," featuring moody black and white footage mixed with explosions of color smearing across the singer's face and the screen.
