Exclusive: UK Alt-Rockers The Filthy Souls Unleash "Destroy You" Video

Atmospheric but immediately catchy, "Destroy You" from Manchester alt-rock outfit the Filthy Souls is currently No. 1 on KROQ's L.A. Locals Show. So it's high time "Destroy You" got its own music video, and we're happy to host its exclusive world premiere.

Starring a sultry woman, a shaggy-bearded cupid and the band as themselves, the clip is "the classic femme fatale storyline with a twist," says lead singer Dave Green. The song—which Green wrote "one night after I drank a box of wine"—is about an irresistibly dangerous love interest and the video brings that story to life in classic film noir black and white.

"I wanted to put imagery to a situation a lot of guys have been in where 'that' girl is essentially destroying you," Green says. "When director Reg B first heard the song he immediately got that. He came up with a concept where in the video we see the girl steal the one thing that means more than anything to myself and the rest of the guys—we lose our music, our band."

But the video isn't quite as depressing as that sounds. Watch the "Destroy You" video above and find out for yourself.
