Big Freedia: "Miley Has to Twerk Again So She Can Do It Properly"

After setting the Guinness World Record for Most People Twerking Simultaneously (358!) in New York on Wednesday afternoon, Big Freedia chopped it up with Fuse's Esteban Serrano and commented on Miley Cyrus' promise/threat to Rolling Stone that she will "probably" never twerk again.

Last time we spoke with New Orleans bounce music Queen Diva, she was less than thrilled about Miley's VMA twerkfest, saying it was "offensive to black women who have been twerking for years." But surprisingly, the news that Miley and twerking are divorcing didn't sit well with her.

"She has to twerk again so she can do it properly," Freedia states in no uncertain terms. "She has to come get a twerk lesson from Big Freedia."

Even though Freedia wants Miley to learn the proper twerk technique, she still thinks the Disney star gone wild needs to apologize for her alleged cultural appropriation. "At some point she definitely does [need to apologize] because some people feel offended, but it's fine for everybody to twerk," Freedia says. "She opened another door for New Orleans to make twerking become mainstream."

For Freedia's take on Miley calling her dancers her "homies" instead of "accessories," watch the interview above. And to see what a real bounce queen looks like, watch the premiere of the her reality show Big Freedia: Queen of Bounce on Fuse, October 2 at 11p/10c.
