AlunaGeorge's debut album Body Music is full of infectious electropop hits, but their latest is kind of insane. Because the video takes place in a mental hospital. Duh.
"Best Be Believing" finds frontwoman Aluna Francis checked into a mental institution along with a bunch of other really attractive women with mental disorders. The song starts, and all the patients start dancing, making the loony bin look more and more like a place we might want to visit.
Is "Best Be Believing" a statement about women in relationships? Why are there no male patients? Is it a public service announcement about mental health? Maybe we're thinking about it too much. Whatever it is, it's a solid reminder that Body Music is one of our favorite debuts this year.
