Peter Jackson Premieres Ed Sheeran's "I See Fire" Video From 'The Hobbit'
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug director Peter Jackson revealed the minimalist video for Ed Sheeran's "I See Fire," the singer's contribution to the film's soundtrack.
The video shows Sheeran in the studio alongside new and dramatic clips from the upcoming move, set to hit theaters December 13. At the end of the video, Sheeran poses with the famed director for a photo, because that's how he rolls now.
The "Everything Has Changed" singer recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about his love for J.R.R. Tolkien and The Hobbit, revealing that it was the first book his dad read to him as a child. He also had some kind words about working with Jackson to create "I See Fire" specifically for the film.
"He was fantastic," Sheeran told EW. "At every point where I'd be adding something, I'd play him the song afterwards. I [recorded the song] for three days, and at the end of every day he would come and listen to the song and give me notes."
