Queens, NY-based pop-punk act Bayside released Cult this week, their sixth studio album and first on new label Hopeless Records. To support the release, the group also unleashed a trippy, creepy music video for "Time Has Come," one of Cult's lead singles.
Fuse has the exclusive premiere of a behind-the-scenes video from the "Time Has Come" shoot, which you can check out above. The video sees Bayside frontman Anthony Raneri walking us around the set in California as they film skateboard tricks and turn him into a half-zombie for the clip.
"Time Has Come," which you'll hear playing in the background of the video, is a quintessential Bayside track. Nearly 15 years into a prolific career, the band has morphed into one of the most consistent acts in the genre. They've evolved their sound from record to record, but retain a reliable and instantly recognizable core that includes some of the most impressive guitar work in pop-punk courtesy of Jack O'Shea. They keep fans simultaneously satisfied and hungry for more with every release.
Cult feels like a record for longtime Bayside fans, and it will ignite another busy album cycle for Raneri and Co. The Great American Cult tour kicks off March 5 with Four Year Strong, Daylight and Mixtapes supporting. Cult is available on iTunes and Bayside is on Twitter.
