Four years after dropping her 2010 LP Aphrodite, pop goddess Kylie Minogue is proving she's still got it with her latest single and video, "Into the Blue." The track—her first since signing with Jay Z's Roc Nation— is a bubbly electro-pop knocker packed with shimmering strings and whooshing synths.
Its accompanying video sees the Aussie playing an irresistible little minx whose love interest can't keep his hands off her in the club, the bedroom and out in public. Filmed in half in color, half in black and white, the cinematic visual tells the couple's story via shots of them frolicking in bed, smoking cigars and making out on the sidewalk. Rather than strut her stuff in desperate-looking, teensy-weensy outfits, the 45-year-old stunner keeps it classy with tasteful dresses and a lacy lingerie number.
Kylie wrote on her YouTube account that the clip was helmed by British music video director Dawn Shadforth, who's been responsible for some of Minogue's most memorable videos including "Can't Get You Out of My Head" and "In Your Eyes."
"Into the Blue" is the lead single off the pop vet's forthcoming Kiss Me Once LP—one of our most anticipated albums of 2014. Look out for contributions from Pharrell and Sia and a duet with Enrique Iglesias in the future.
