Bonnaroo first-timers Johanna Söderberg and Klara Söderberg of First Aid Kit couldn't have had a more memorable festival experience. The Swedish indie-folk pair, who released their third studio album Stay Gold earlier this month, raved about the overall energy and vibe of the Tennessee crowd.
"All the artists we've met have talked about it. It's just a legendary festival; it's been really awesome—better than we'd expected maybe," the sibling duo told Fuse. When asked about the audience's response to their set, older sister Johanna gushed that everyone seemed to have known all the lyrics.
"I think the audience was into it; they knew our new songs from our new record. They all sang along. I feel like we fit in here!" she exclaimed.
The twenty-somethings also compared American and European festivals, sounding particularly appreciative of how organized, massive and plain fun American festivals are.
"We always love playing American festivals. It's always really fun, and people take care of you. But the best thing about festivals is that you get to see other bands; that's something that you don't really get to do a lot when you're on tour."
