Fitz & the Tantrums Want Their Tunes on 'Game of Thrones'
As any on-the-rise band will tell you, a well-placed commercial sync can quickly propel you and your song into mainstream consciousness fast. Case in point: Fitz & The Tantrums saw their new single "The Walker" (below) hit the Billboard Hot 100—the band's first-ever appearance on the singles chart—after Ellen DeGeneres crafted a super-fun, lip-sync music video to the track as a trailer for the Oscars.
But catching up with the Los Angeles outfit at Bonnaroo 2014, members Michael Fitzpatrick and Noelle Scaggs tell us their next dream sync is to hear it on HBO's smashing-success series Game of Thrones.
"I know it'll never happen. But can we please try to make it get in Game of Thrones?" says lead singer Fitzpatrick.
Co-lead singer Scaggs wonders if the band "might have to do a remix" to get on the show before the pair decide they need to make "a medieval remix."
Psst! Hey, MS MR's "Bones" got on the show without a Dark Ages-themed rework. We believe in you, Fitz.
